Watch this film it is excellent. About a woman leaving prison after 15 years and rebuilding a relationship with her estranged sister. It is not overly dramatic but brilliantly human, Kristin Scott Thomas is pitch perfect.

I’m not that into the “worn by” thing but occasionally you find a winner and I reckon this just might be one, you can buy it here

I went down to the kempton antiques market this morning for work, looking for props for a shop fit. Its on 2 tuesdays a month and has some pretty good furniture. It kicks off at 6 am and thats when the tradesman get there so most the good stuff goes early. To be honest it wasn’t as cheap as I’d hoped, go if you know what your looking for (theres plenty of tat) otherwise if you just want a browse head to spitalfields on a thursday morning, its more select, not that much more expensive and its much closer yo central london. These are some photos i took of some cool old stuff, I’m about to move house and we’re thinking taxidermy..

I found this set of rare Keith Haring photos on this girls myspace blog through a link from the worlds best ever. I’m a big haring fan and really enjoyed seeing the re-creation of his pop up shop at the Tate Moderns Pop life exhibition. Reading about his death from Aids, it sounds obvious, but it really impressed on me the amount of talent lost through the disease. Everyone remembers the rock n roll tragedies, dieing at 27 from the excesses of the lifestyle, but somehow the Aids epidemic seems slightly overlooked. I guess theres nothing sexy or glamorous about dieing from aids, not that theres anything sexy or glamorous about dieing from a heroine overdose. Anyway, Rad Glasses/knecklace combo dude..

After timeout ripping dancefloors with there disco collection LCD return with this! Bye Bye Bayou, BLISTERING.
I WANT THIS BOOK!
I came to cultural consciousness in the Mid 90′s. We were punk skateboard kids who listened to Grunge and Rap. Nirvana, Smashing Pumpkins, the Pixies and Rage alongside the Wu, Biggy, Cypress Hill and A Tribe Called quest. The only Blur song I truly liked was Song 2 because it was heavy and Oasis were cool because they swore at the TV and punched paparazzi. Therefore I’m Loving all the 90′s nostalgia thats around in fashion and music right now. These are some pics from Michael Lavines new book Grunge..

On thursday I’m attending the private view for Ellen Von Unworths latest exhibition, Fraulein, at the Michael Hoppen Gallery. The friend who invited me has said I’ll like it because the photos are all of scantily clad beautiful women. Those of you who read my blog will know i’m an admirer of the female form, in Ellens own words “(Women) are not just there to be admired, they are there to be enjoyed,”. I couldn’t agree more. Heres a taster..

I’ve been listening to these tunes alot recently
Jay Z feat. Alicia Keys – Empire state of mind
I’m a sucker for big rap pop anthems and this is definitely up there. BOOM.
Wild Beasts – All the kings men
The Wild Beasts second album two dancers is AMAZING, buy it.
The XX – night time.
