Man ran the best image blog on the net and due to the number of hits and the amount of data he was transferring he would’ve been forced to pay a couple thou a year to keep it going. My work mate flagged up japanese brand ANACHRONORM. The Japanese are obsessive in there re-creation of vintage american clothing and Anachronnorm are no exception. These are some of my favourite pieces, I dont wanna do the conversion to work out how expensive this stuff is, anyway you can buy it original for cheap down Spitalfields and Portabello markets. Nice touch including there samples in the archive section, the denim jacket is vintage.

This is the Life is a documentary about the alternative hip-hop scene in 90′s L.A and its legendary epicenter, the Good Life Cafe. Interviewees include Myka 9 and P.E.A.C.E. of Freestyle Fellowship, Chali 2na and Cut Chemist of Jurassic 5, Medusa, Abstract Rude, Pigeon John, 2Mex, Chillin Villian Empire, Busdriver and many others. I know what I’m watching this weekend. S I C K.

Those of you who read OWTIC regularly may have noticed that i’ve been trying to write more recently (my spelling and grammar are terrible i know, thats what 5 yrs of nothing but colouring in’ll do to ya). I’m trying to develop the blog and therefore I’m thinking this might be the last of the mammoth post, i’ll still post as many dope photos, just in more manageable, regular chunks, with proper accreditation and links to the sources. If you dont like the sound of that, its still under debate so holla!

I’ve got some ideas in the pipeline for 2010 mainly about the structure of the blog, these include; drafting in some expert contributors, some more of my own work and interviews with others about theres. There will be some technical developments like being able to leave comments, shorter pages and categories. You will be able to follow OWTIC on twitter and facebook, coming soon. Having missed the unveiling of Bigger Trees Near Warter in 2007, I’m looking forward to seeing it at the Tate. My Mum introduced me to Hockney when I was young and trips to Salts Mill cemented him as one of my favourite artists. I like the fact Hockneys a big iphone fan, I hope I’m still embracing new technology at his age. A few flics of the man himself, what iconic style. That is the only way to wear a rugby shirt..
