Sledging in Greenwich Park from benji lanyado on Vimeo.
It has been the coldest winter in London since I can remember. Until last Sunday I hadn’t had the chance to enjoy it, but then a group of us grabbed the old matchstick sledges and headed to the hallowed slopes of Greenwich Park. Greenwich is where I grew up and this hill is one of the most picturesque spots in London, the docklands skyline perfectly juxtaposed against the greenery of the park. I have spent many a carefree summers day and not quite as many snowy winters days here, it holds a lot of fond memories. This is my friend Benji and I sledging, like cool runnings just two middle class white boys.
