The new iPhone was finally released today to a chorus of cheers from the patient Apple fans around the world.
Queues formed outside stores throughout the uk in the early hours (or yesterday in the case of Apples flagship uk store in Regent street), and I’m afraid to say that I was in one of them.. Were you?
More info and pics after the jump…
I have to say that it was definitely worth the early start and wait as the new iPhone is an object of beauty..
The design, while radically different than the previous incarnations, is very elegant, and the screen is something that needs to be seen.
There have been reports of defective screens and signal problems but I seem to be one of the lucky ones.
The new operating system is also a joy to use, and although there are still issues that have not been addressed, the core features are there.. In fact I have written this whole post on the phone, seamlessly switching between the flickr app, wordpress and safari.
I’ll try and post a full review with pictures and videos when o have had the chance to fully assess it.
The queue at the High Holborn o2 store about 6.30am.
