I saw this video on someone’s Facebook about 5 months ago but keep going back to watch it again. The dancers are the Turf Feinz, pioneers of  Turfing, a dance style originating from Oakland, CA. Turfing draws on many dance forms such like popping, locking and breaking but also others like mime and even ballet. This gives each dancer their own distinctive style. Check out the pirouettes on the guy in black!

The video is shot by YAKfilms, a “visual wrecking crew” dedicated to the documentation and promotion of Turfing and other dance styles across America and beyond. Each film is shot and cut beautifully, making their page one of the best places to see what steps the kids are doing these days.
