Footage of the Casteller human castle festival in Spain. And yes, one of them collapses. By Mike Randolph.
With an all star cast including Koby Bryant, Kanye West, Bruce Willis and Danny “Machete” Trejo, this 5 minute long Nike advert directed by Robert Rodriguez, surely must be up there with the most expensive adverts ever made. Very cool indeed.. even if you don’t like basketball!
Trousers London, a friends London based premium jeanswear label has produced a new video to promote their work called ‘Denim Architects’.
Directed by one of the co founders Arturs Naumovs, they used a unique technique involving two Canon 5D cameras at slightly different angles to produce a very interesting 3D effect around the focal figure. The original soundtrack is also very well done.
Goddamn! Devendra Banhart and real life girlfriend Rebecca Schwartz get so-cal sexy in this film by Lisa Eisner for LA eyewear brand OliversPeople.. Thats it I’ve packed my bag and I’m off to live in LA, fuck this grey London shit, drop me a line come visit any time, bye x

I watched the original over christmas and damn I love a western, the Coen brothers re-make looks to be awesome. Can’t wait.
I saw this video on someone’s Facebook about 5 months ago but keep going back to watch it again. The dancers are the Turf Feinz, pioneers of Turfing, a dance style originating from Oakland, CA. Turfing draws on many dance forms such like popping, locking and breaking but also others like mime and even ballet. This gives each dancer their own distinctive style. Check out the pirouettes on the guy in black!
The video is shot by YAKfilms, a “visual wrecking crew” dedicated to the documentation and promotion of Turfing and other dance styles across America and beyond. Each film is shot and cut beautifully, making their page one of the best places to see what steps the kids are doing these days.
Enjoy.
Dentsu London have created an interesting stop motion video titled “Making Future Magic: iPad Light Painting”. The interesting part is that it is composed of hundreds (possibly thousands) of light painted images that were created using an iPad.
The result is a very cool video, which includes a breakdown of how it all works so you get an idea of how complicated the whole thing was to create.
London is no longer a stranger to an alfresco cinema, but this one has a twist (and a roof) as it’s housed in a derelict petrol station on Clerkenwell Road. The Cineroleum promises to be a fascinating and enjoyable experience hailing the golden age of cinema, with paper tickets, popcorn and, err, seats constructed from reclaimed scaffolding – all ‘Enclosed by an ornate curtain strung from the forecourt roof’. Part of a wider project initiated by artists, designers and architects to find uses for public space, it opens this weekend and tickets can be booked online. Personally I can’t think a better venue to watch Night of the Living Dead.
